Tau replaces Planinic with Arslan
Ender Arslan - Union Olimpija A day after one of its point guards was operated on for an injury, Tau Ceramica found his replacement on another Euroleague team. Tau on Friday announced that it had signed Ender Arslan for two months, with the possibility of extending the deal until the end of the season. Arslan (188, 23) replaces Zoran Planinic, who went down for six weeks with a hand injury suffered in the team's road loss at Climamio Bologna on Wednesday. Arslan played this season at now-eliminated Union Olimpija after having spent the previous five as a part-time starter at Efes Pilsen. He began the current season injured, too, but in the last 8 games for Olimpija has averaged 10.5 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.1 steals. Arslan becomes the third Turkish player signed by Tau in the last two seasons, joining his national teammates Serkan Erdogan and Kaya Peker. Arslan will not be eligible to play for Tau in Euroleague games until the start of the Top 16.
