Zalgiris invests in top German talent Hartenstein
Lithuanian champion Zalgiris Kaunas signed highly-rated German prospect Isaiah Hartenstein to a long-term contract on Monday. Hartenstein (2.10 meters, 17 years old) is expected to spend the coming season on loan in Germany before joining Zalgiris for the 2016-17 campaign. He is a product of the Artland Dragons youth system and debuted for the club in the German League last season. Hartenstein has also represented Germany at the junior levels. Playing underage at the recent European Under 18 Championships, Hartenstein led Germany with 11.6 points and 1.8 steals and ranked third in the competition with 8.7 rebounds per game.
