Laboral Kutxa Vitoria Gasteiz added depth to its frontline, signing veteran forward Kristjan Kangur to an eight-week contract, club announced on Sunday. Kangur (2.01 meters, 32 years old) should fill the void left with the injury of Tornike Shengelia who is expected to miss six weeks. Kangur has last played with Openjobmetis Varese in the Italian League, where he averaged 7.8 points, 6.2 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.0 steals, while knocking down 41.4% three-point shots. He is a veteran of three Euroleague seasons that he played with Asvel Basket, Montepaschi Siena and EA7 Emporio Armani Milan. In 51 career games he has averaged 6.5 points and 2.7 rebounds, while hitting 42.5% shots from downtown. During his professional career he spent seven years in two stints with Kalev Tallin of his native Estonia, and also played for Bayer Leverkusen of Germany. He is a regular member of the Estonian national team, and has played at EuroBasket 2015 the past month.
