Week 1 MVP, 2004-05: Saulius Stombergas, Ulker and Yaniv Green, Maccabi
Saulius Stombergas - UlkerTwo players who were not in the Euroleague last season - one a familiar veteran, the other a complete newcomer - are the co-winners of the first MVP of the Week award of 2004-05. The veteran, sharpshooter Saulius Stombergas, led Ulker to a 52-82 road win against Opel Skyliners. The newcomer, Yaniv Green, paced visiting Maccabi to a 75-102 victory at Zalgiris Kaunas in the season opener. Stombergas and Green tied with index ratings of 32 each.
