Belgian champion Spirou Charleroi has loaded up in the middle by signing shot-blocking ace Mouhamed Saer Sene to a two-season contract. Sene (213, 24) arrives from French club Hyeres Toulon, with whom he averaged 12.4 points, a league-best 11.4 rebounds and 2.4 blocks last season. He returns to Belgium after launching his career in the Charleroi junior system and spending a season with Verviers-Pepinster. Sene spent three season between 2006 ad 2009 in the United States, suiting up for Seattle, Oklahoma City and New York in the NBA and Idaho and Albuquerque in the NBDL. Sene was the co-NBDL Defensive Player of the Year in 2007-08 after recording 12.4 points, 9 rebounds and 1.7 blocks over 27 games with Idaho. He shared that award with former Partizan Belgrade and Maccabi Tel Aviv forward Stephane Lasme.
