Spirou Basket brings back Chris Beghin
Chris Beghin - SpirouA familiar face is back in Charleroi, none other than center Christophe Beghin, who inked a three-year deal with Spirou Basket. Beghin (207, 30) arrives from Antwerp Giants, where he averaged 13.2 points and 5.9 rebounds in 35 Belgian League games last season. He already played for Spirou in the past, averaging 6 points and 3.4 rebounds in 9 ULEB Cup games in the 2007-08 season. Beghin has also played for Verviers-Pepinster, BC Oostende and Belgacom Aalst in his native Belgium, as well as for Euro Roseto in Italy. He is also a regular member of the Belgian national team and will be ready to help Belgium in the EuroBasket 2011 Qualifying Rounds this summer. Beghin won back-to-back Belgian League titles with Oostende in 2001 and 2002. He lifted the trophy again with Spirou in 2008 and won the Belgian Cup title with Oostende in 2001.
