BC Khimki tabs center Benjamin Eze
Benjamin Eze - Montepaschi Siena and Travis Hansen - Real MadridBC Khimki Moscow Region keeps building a strong roster for the upcoming 2010-11 Euroleague Qualifying Rounds by inking center Benjamin Eze to a two-year deal on Wednesday. Khimki keeps an option to extend the contract until the end of the 2012-13 season. Eze (207, 29) has spent the last six seasons with Euroleague giant Montepaschi Siena. He averaged 7.8 points and 3.8 rebounds in 16 Euroleague games last season. In his six years in Siena, Eze helped Montepaschi to win four consecutive Italian League titles and lifted two Italian Cup trophies. He also made it to the Euroleague Final Four with Siena in 2008. Eze has also Reggio Calabria in Italy, Autodorozhnik Saratov in Russia, Geoplin Slovan in Slovenia and Lagos Islanders in his native Nigeria. He is also a regular member of the Nigerian national team, helping it to win silver and bronze medals, respectively, in the 199 and 2005 African Championships.
