Zalgiris re-signs forward Klimavicius
Tadas Klimavicius - Zalgiris_24310Zalgiris Kaunas and forward Tadas Klimavicius agreed to terms on a new deal that will keep the player in green for next season with an option for the 2011-12 campaign. Klimavicius (204, 27) comes off his best season yet for Zalgiris, in which he practically doubles his output from the previous year. Klimavicius averaged 7.7 points, 4.1 rebounds and 0.9 blocks in the Euroleague. He improved as the season progressed, posting 8.8 points and 6 boards in the Top 16. He was also worth 10.8 points and 6.5 rebounds in the Lithuanian League – including 12.5 points and 7.1 boards in the playoffs – and 10.9 points and 6.6 rebounds in the Baltic League, where he had 17 points and 8 rebounds in the final as Zalgiris topped archrival Lietuvos Rytas for the title. Klimavicius has also played for Alita Alytus and BC Siauliai in his native Lithuania as well as Fabriano Basket in Italy and AEL Larrisa in Greece during his career.
