Pepsi Caserta extends Ebi Ere
Ebi Ere - Pepsi CasertaPepsi Caserta has reached a new agreement with small forward Ebi Ere, who will keep playing for the team next season. Ere (195, 28) arrived to Caserta last summer and had a big impact, averaging 15.1 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2.3 steals in 38 Italian League games. He helped Caserta to make it to the Italian League semifinals for the first time in almost two decades. Ere has also played for Gigantes de Carolina in Puerto Rico, the Melbourne Tigers, the Sydney Kings and the Brisbane Bullets in Australia, Liege Basket in Belgium and Oklahoma in the USBL. He helped Sydney to win the Australian League title in 2004 - earning finals MVP honors - and did it again with Brisbane in 2007. Ere is also a regular member of the Nigerian national team. "we have been in touch with Ere and his agent to extend his contract since the Italian League ended. His athleticism, skills, friendliness and team-oriented mentality has been very important for us," Caserta president Caputo said. "It was natural for us to keep a player like Ebi."
