Power Electronics signs Javtokas

Robertas Javtokas - BC KhimkiPower Electronics has reached an agreement with center Robertas Javtokas, who inked a two-year deal with the reigning Eurocup champions, the club announced Thursday. Javtokas (211, 30) arrives from Khimki, where he averaged 10.1 points, 6.4 rebounds and 1.2 blocks in 16 Euroleague games last season. He helped Khimki to reach the Euroleague Top 16 and the Russian League finals. Javtokas had joined Khimki from another Russian club, Dynamo Moscow. In his two seasons with Dynamo, Javtokas helped the club to reach the Eurocup Final Eight in 2008 and 2009, as well as reaching the Russian Cup final in 2009. Javtokas, an accomplished defensive big man with outstanding shot blocking skills, also helped Panathinaikos to win the Triple Crown - Greek League, Greek Cup and Euroleague titles - in 2007. He has also played for Siauliai and Lietuvos Rytas in his native Lithuania, where he is a regular member of his national team. In his six seasons with L. Rytas. Javtokas helped the team to win Lithuanian League titles in 2000, 2002 and 2006, as well as lifting the 2005 ULEB Cup trophy, earning MVP honors in the final against Alfa Makedonikos. Javtokas also won a bronze medal at EuroBasket 2007 with Lithuania.
