Gilboa/Galil tabs Green, Kazarnovski
Anton KazarnovskiThe Israeli champion Hapoel Gilboa/Galil Elyon made a pair of moves Friday as it continues to prepare its roster for the new season. Rodney Green signed for one season and Anton Kazarnovski for two. Green (22, 196) will make his professional debut with Galil after a four-year college basketball career at La Salle University. In each of his four years with La Salle Green scored in double fugures and improved his numbers every season, finishing his senior year with 18.5 points, 5.1 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game. He was named to the All-Atlantic Conference Second Team in each of the last two seasons. Green can play in both guard positions.

Kazarnovski (26, 205) arrives to Galil after finishing the previous season with Ironi Ramat Gan. Kazarnovski was a big star in his youth years at Maccabi Tel Aviv and later played a key role in the under-20 Israeli national team that won the silver medal at the European Championships in 2004. His pro career started with Galil back in 2004-05, before moving to Hapoel Holon. His next step was to the second division in Germany, where he went to get substantial playing time with TV Lich. His good performances earned him a short stop in the top league with Giessen 46ers. In 2007-08 he returned to the lower divisions to play for Schulen Basket Landsberg and FC Bayern Muenchen, and then spent two years at BG Karlsruhe. In March 2010 he returned to Israel to Ramat Gan and posted 4 points and 2.6 rebounds per game.
