Hapoel Gilboa/Galil Elyon inks McClinton
Jack McClintonIsraeli League champion Hapoel Gilboa/Galil Elyon improved its roster for the upcoming Euroleague Qualifying Rounds by inking playmaker Jack McClinton to a one-year deal, the club announced Saturday. McClinton (185, 25) started his college career in Siena, but after sitting out one year moved to Miami (Florida) where he posted great numbers in each of the next three seasons. He averaged 19.3 points on 45.3% three-pointers in his senior year with the Hurricanes. McClinton was chosen to the All-ACC first team in 2008 and 2009. His first team out of college was Aliaga Petkim, averaging 15.9 points and 3.1 assists in 29 Turkish League games last season. Galil will be the second stop in his professional career to team up with scoring guard Rodney Green, who joined the team earlier this summer.
