Pepsi Caserta keeps Timmy Bowers
Timmy Bowers - Hapoel JerusalemPepsi Caserta managed to keep another core player for the upcoming 2010-11 season, none other than Timmy Bowers, who inked a new one-year deal with the Italian side on Tuesday. Bowers (188, 28) averaged 11.7 points, 2.9 assists and 1.7 steals in 34 Italian League games last season, helping Caserta to make it to the semifinals. He has also played for Hapoel Migdal Jerusalem in Israel, Gulf Coast in the WBA and Asheville in the D-League. Bowers helped Hapoel to win back-to-back Israeli Cup titles in 2007 and 2008. It also reached the ULEB Cup quarterfinals in 2007 and won the D-League with Asheville in 2005. "I would like to express my personal satisfaction on being able to keep a player with such human, technical and athletic skills as Timmy," Caserta president Caputo said. "We managed to achieve the first goal we had in this off-season - being able to keep our core of players that did so well last year."
