Pepsi Caserta improved its frontcourt for the upcoming Euroleague Qualifying Rounds by inking center Luca Garri to a two-year deal, the club announced Wednesday. Garri (207, 28) arrives from Biella, where he averaged 7.7 points and 3.7 rebounds in 6 Eurocup games last season. He has also played for Virtus Bologna, Lottomatica Roma and Mabo Livorno in his native Italy. Garri has also been a member of the Italian national team and took part in the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, Greece and the 2006 FIBA World Championships in Japan. Garri will now try to help Caserta to play its first Euroleague season since 1992.
