CEZ Nymburk tabs Tre Simmons
Tre Simmons - Hapoel JerusalemPerennial Czech League champion CEZ Nymburk got stronger to face the 2010-11 Turkish Airlines Euroleague Qualifying Round by inking small forward Tre Simmons to a one-year deal, the club announced Thursday. Simmons (198, 28) arrives from Hapoel Migdal Jerusalem, where he averaged 12.6 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 14 Eurocup games last season. He helped Hapoel to go from the Eurocup Qualifying Round to the Quarterfinals, losing against Alba Berlin on points differential. Simmons has also played for Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv, Hapoel Holon and Hapoel Galil Elyon in Israel, Gran Canaria in Spain and PAOK in Greece. He helped Hapoel Holon to win the Israeli League title in 2008 and did it again with Maccabi in 2009. Last season, Simmons led Hapoel Migdal to win the Israeli Supercup, earning MVP honors with 24 points in the title game against Maccabi.
