Maroussi BC keeps Marios Batis

Marios Batis - Maroussi BCMaroussi BC announced the contract extension of guard Marios Batis (190, 30) for one more season, becoming the first player of the team for the 2010-11 season, which will play the Euroleague Qualifying Rounds for one of the last two open berths for the regular season. Last season, Batis played 15 Euroleague games with Maroussi averaging 3.5 points 1.6 boards and 1.1 assists, helping the team reach the Top 16 for the first time in club history. It will be the second season of Batis at Maroussi. Before that, he had played all his career in Greece. He made his debut in 1999 with Panionios, where he stayed until 2003. That summer he moved to Irakleio Crete and moved to Near East of the second division in 2004-05. The two following years he played in Ilysiakos Athens and in 2007-08 and 2008-09 he was in Olimpia Larissa.
