Maroussi tabs scoring ace Spencer
Dewarick Spencer - Le Mans (Photo msb.fr David Piolé)Maroussi BC signed shooting guard Dewarick "Dee" Spencer to a two-year deal over the weekend. Spencer (193, 28) arrives from French club Le Mans, where he averaged 17.6 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 12 Eurocup games and 18.7 points, 5.1 boards and 3.6 assists in French League last season. A noted scorer, he finished second in the 2007-08 Euroleague regular season with 18.1 points when he played for Virtus Bologna. Spencer played collegiate basketball at Arkansas State University before starting his career in Europe. He has since played for Chorale Roanne and Le Mans in France, Bologna in Italy and Efes Pilsen in Turkey. Among his career highlights are winning the 2007 French championship and the 2007 Semaine d' As with Roanne and the 2009 French Cup and 2009 Semaine d' As with Le Mans.
