Maroussi continued building its roster with an eye to the future by signing teenage big man Vassilis Kavvadas to a five-year deal. Kavvadas (205, 19) arrives from third division team Ionikos Nikaias, where the legendary Panagiotis Giannakis started his career. Last summer he averaged 4.8 points and 5 rebounds for the Greek team at the U-18 European Championships. He is the third top prospect Maroussi has signed this summer after Thanassis Atetakumbo and Zissis Sarikopoulos.
