Olympiacos's Vasilopoulos to have back surgery
Panagiotis Vasilopoulos - OlympiacosVeteran Olympiacos forward Panagiotis Vasilopoulos will miss the start of the Turkish Airlines Euroleague season after choosing to undergo surgery for a back problem that has hindered him over the past two seasons. The 26-year old will be operated on Tuesday and is expected to return to action after four months. Last season Vasilopoulos averaged 2.9 points and 1.8 boards in 17 Euroleague games. He also missed the 2009 European Championships and is not available for the 2010 World Championships because of the injury.
