Anadolu Efes Istanbul reached an agreement with small forward DeShaun Thomas to work together next season with an option for another one, the club announced Thursday. Thomas (2.01 meters, 25 years old) arrives from Austin of the D-League, where he averaged 15.4 points and 6.1 rebounds in 53 games last season. He started his professional career with JSF Nanterre, to which he helped win the French Cup title in 2014. Thomas also played for FC Barcelona of Spain, reaching the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague playoffs and the Spanish League finals. In his two EuroLeague seasons with Nanterre and Barcelona, Thomas averaged 7.8 points and 2.6 rebounds in 38 games. He also helped Ohio State University reach the NCAA final four in 2012.
