Hapoel Gilboa/Galil Elyon signs Carter
Warren Carter – Ventspils (Photo: bkventspils.lv)Hapoel Gilboa/Galil Elyon reinforced its front line with the addition of Warren Carter for the coming season. Carter (206, 25) arrives from Ilyasikos Athens, where he posted 12.9 points and 7 rebounds in the Greek League last year. The athletic big man has also played for Mutlu Aku Selcuk in Turkey, Cajasol Sevilla in Spain and BK Ventspils in Latvia during his time in Europe. Carter enjoyed an outstanding college basketball career at the University of Illinois, with whom he reached the NCAA title game in 2005. Carter averaged 13.7 points and 6.1 rebounds during his senior year in 2006-07.
