Alba Berlin adds Taylor to backcourt
Bryce Taylor - Telekom Baskets BonnAlba Berlin bolstered its backcourt Tuesday with the signing of swingman Bryce Taylor, who arrives from fellow German side Telekom Bonn. Taylor (195, 23) signed a one-year contract, though Berlin has an opt-out option after two months. Taylor led Bonn in scoring in the Eurocup last season with 18.5 points per game plus 3.3 rebounds per game. He also averaged 12.5 points and 2.7 rebounds in the German League. Taylor had an excellent college basketball career at the University of Orego, where he recorded 12.8 points and 3.8 rebounds in 30 NCAA games in the 2007-08 season, helping Oregon reach the NCAA Tournament quarterfinals. Taylor also helped Oregano win the Pacific-10 Conference Tournament in 2007. He began his professional career with Premiata Montegranaro, where he averaged 13 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.6 steals in 30 Italian League games during the 2008-09 season. Taylor was a member of the United States national team that took part in the 2007 Pan-American Games played in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
