Spirou Charleroi re-signs Wright
Brent Wright - Spirou Charleroi (Photo: spiroubasket.com)Spirou Charleroi re-signed forward Brent Wright, who joined the club towards the end of last season and helped it win the Belgian championship. Wright (203, 32) averaged 10.3 points and 4 rebounds for Spirou last year in the regular season and playoffs combined. The well-traveled forward has experience at the highest levels, having played in the Euroleague with Cibona Zagreb and in the ULEB Cup for Ventspils. He was the regular season Week 7 Euroleague MVP after posting 17 points, 13 rebounds and an index rating of 35 in the 2006-07 season. Wright also was the 2004-05 ULEB Cup regular season MVP. Wright has also played for Celana Bergamo in Italy, Maccabi Haifa in Israel, Plannja Basket in Sweden, BC Oostende in Belgium, Ural Great in Russia and BC Kyiv in Ukraine. He has won championships in Sweden, Latvia, Croatia and Belgium.
