Gilboa/Galil adds Lyons to frontcourt
Leo Lyons - Hapoel Jerusalem (hapoel.co.il)Hapoel Gilboa/Galil Elyon reinforced its frontcourt with the signing of forward Leo Lyons for the coming season. Lyons (23, 206) joins the Israeli champion after spending his rookie year last season with another Israeli club, Hapoel Migdal Jerusalem, where he recorded 5.9 points and 3.8 rebounds per game in the Eurocup and 8.4 points and 4.4 boards per game in the domestic league. He helped Jerusalem reach the Eurocup quarterfinals and the Israeli semifinals, where they lost to Galil. Lyons adds size, athleticism and an inside-outside game for Galil. He came to Israel after a standout college basketball career at the University of Missouri, with whom he reached the NCAA Elite Eight in his senior season.
