Hemofarm brings back Boris Savovic

Boris Savovic - KK Hemofarm StadaA familiar face is back in Vrsac, as Hemofarm Stada announced the arrival of power forward Boris Savovic, who inked a one-year deal with the club on Tuesday. Hemofarm keeps an option to extend his contract until the end of the 2011-12 season. Savovic (206, 23) joined Hemofarm's basketball school at age 15. He made his first team debut in 2005 and helped Hemofarm to lift the Adriatic League trophy that season. In his five seasons with Hemofarm, Savovic helped the team to make it to the Eurocup semifinals in 2005, 2006 and 2009, as well as reaching three finals - Serbian League, Serbian Cup and Adriatic League - in 2008. Last season, Savovic played for Buducnost, helping the team to win the Montenegrin Cup and the Montenegrin League titles. He averaged 6.1 points on 87% free throws and 4.3 rebounds in 19 Adriatic League games last season. Savovic has also been a member of the Serbian under-20 national team that won the gold medal at the 2007 European Championships in Warsaw, Poland.
