Budivelnik inks scoring ace Spencer
Dewarick Spencer - Le Mans (photo David Piolé - Msb.fr)_24939Budivelnik improved its roster for the upcoming Turkish Airlines Euroleague second Qualifying Round series against BC Khimki Moscow Region by inking shooting guard Dewarick Spencer to a one-year deal, the club announced Friday. Spencer (193, 28) arrives from Le Mans, where he averaged 17.6 points and 2.3 assists in 12 Eurocup games last season, helping his team to make it to the Last 16. He was also the French League's second top scorer, averaging 18.7 points in 36 games and heping Le Mans to make it to the title game. Last season, Spencer helped Le Mans to win the French Cup and the Semaine des As titles. He has also played for Efes Pilsen in Turkey, Virtus Bologna in Italy and Chorale Roanne in France. He helped Roanne to win the French League title in 2007 and was the competition top scorer (20.7 ppg.) that season. Spencer is ready to offer Budivelnik more fire power in its big showdown against Khimki - and throughout the 2010-11 season.
