Reigning German League champion Brose Baskets Bamberg announced the arrival of guard Maodo Lo, who signed a three-year deal with his new team on Monday. Lo (1.90 meters, 23 years old) is set to start his professional basketball career with Bamberg. He had a successful college career at Columbia University, averaging 16.9 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 2.2 steals in 35 NCAA games last season. Born in Germany, Lo played for Central Hoops Berlin and Wilbraham & Monson Academy High School before joining Columbia. He made it to the All-Ivy League first team in the last two seasons. Lo also led the German national team to a silver medal at the 2015 World University Games played in South Korea. "I am excited to start my professional career in Bamberg. I am aware of the challenges. I am motivated, willing to work hard to learn and improve," Lo said. "I hope to help the team be successful."
