Fenerbahce Ulker brings in big man May
Sean May (Photo: NBA.com)Fenerbahce Ulker has agreed to terms with big man Sean May, fortifying its frontline after losing Gasper Vidmar to injury. May (206, 26) is due in Istanbul on Tuesday and the agreement will go into effect if he passes medical exams on Wednesday. He played the past five seasons in the NBA, first with Charlotte and then Sacramento. His best season was his second, 2006-07, when May averaged 11.9 points and 6.7 rebounds over 24 minutes per game for Charlotte, however injuries limited him to 35 games that season and he missed the 2007-08 season with knee surgery. For his career May averaged 6.9 points and 4 rebounds in 119 NBA games. May enjoyed a standout college basketball career at the University of North Carolina, where he helped the Tar Heels win the 2005 NCAA championships alongside current Brose Baskets forward Reyshawn Terry. He was named MVP of that season’s NCAA final four and was also an All-Atlantic Coast Conference First Team selection.
