EA7 Olimpia Armani Milan added a serious shooting threat to its backcourt with the signing of shooting guard Dairis Bertans. Bertans (1.92 meters, 27 years old) arrives from the Turkish side Darussafaka Dogus Istanbul, where he made his Turkish Airlines EuroLeague debut last season. He averaged 6.4 points, while making exactly 50% of his three-point shots, sinking 33 of 66 over 32 EuroLeague games, which was tied third best among the qualified players last season. He also helped Darussafaka reach the playoffs for the first time in club history. Bertans also has eight seasons of EuroCup experience with ASK Riga, BK Ventspils and VEF Riga, all of his native Latvia, as well as with Bilbao Basket of Spain and is a regular with the Latvian national team.
