Zalgiris Kaunas reached a new agreement with shooting guard Paulius Valinskas to keep working together next season, the club announced Monday. Zalgiris has an option to keep Valinskas until the end of the 2018-19 season. Valinskas (1.90 meters, 21 years old) averaged 1.2 points in five Turkish Airlines EuroLeague games with Zalgiris. He saw extended playing time in Lithuanian League action, averaging 3.9 points and 1.6 assists in 33 games. Born in Kaunas, Valinskas was promoted to the club's first roster last season, in which Zalgiris won the Lithuanian League title. He has been a member of the Lithuanian U16, U18 and U20 national teams.
