Reigning Turkish Airlines EuroLeague champion Fenerbahce Dogus reinforced its backcourt with the addition of veteran playmaker Sinan Guler, who signed a two-year deal with an option to extend it for an extra season. Guler (1.92 meters, 33 years old) arrives from archrival Galatasaray Odeabank Istanbul, where he spent the last four seasons, served as team captain, and had one of the key roles in Galatasaray's path to winning the 7DAYS EuroCup crown in 2016. Last season Guler posted 10.5 points, 5.6 assists, 2.5 rebounds and 1.3 steals over 30 EuroLeague games. It was his eighth campaign in the competition, having played five with Anadolu Efes and three with Galatasaray. A native of Istanbul, Guler is now set to play for all five of the biggest clubs from that city. He started his career with Besiktas, played a season for Darussafaka and after another season with Besiktas, he joined Efes, which is where he also made his EuroLeague debut in 2008. Guler is also a regular with the Turkish national team, with which he won a silver medal at the 2010 FIBA Basketball World Cup.
