Brose Bamberg has put more power to its frontcourt for the next Turkish Airlines EuroLeague season and beyond by agreeing on Sunday with power forward Augustine Rubit to a three-year contract lasting until 2020. Rubit (2.01 meters, 27 years old) arrives from another German club, ratiopharm Ulm, where he averaged 11.3 points and 5.4 rebounds over the last two 7DAYS EuroCup seasons in a total of 28 games. Rubit was a key contributor to Ulm starting the German League with 27 consecutive wins last season on the way to finishing first in the regular season. Prior to Ulm, Rubit had begun his pro career in Germany with Tubingen after having spent four seasons starring at University of South Alabama. "To be honest, I am really looking forward to playing basketball at this high level: the Euroleague was always my goal," Rubit said upon signing. "To be able to compete with the best European players now makes me proud. I hope to develop in the best possible way."
