FC Barcelona Lassa bolstered its frontcourt by signing big man Pierre Oriola away from Valencia Basket on a four-year deal. Oriola (2.06 meters, 24 years old) averaged 8.3 points on 62.7% two-point shooting and 2.7 rebounds in 23 7DAYS EuroCup games last season in helping Valencia reach the finals. He also played a big role in the club winning its first Spanish League title, too. Oriola had joined Valencia from Baloncesto Sevilla, where he played for two seasons. He started his career with Basquet Manresa, where he played for parts of four seasons before he joined Lobe Huesca. Oriola has also played for CE Sant Nicolau Sabadell of Spain and been a member of the Spanish U18 and U20 national teams. He is set to make his Turkish Airlines EuroLeague debut with Barcelona this season.
