Teletovic ties three-point mark
Mirza Teletovic - Caja LaboralMirza Teletovic tied the Euroleague single-game three-point shooting record in his team’s 89-95 road win over Zalgiris at S.Darius and S. Girenas Sport Center in Kaunas, Lithuania. Teletovic matched two other players with 9 threes in a game en route to a career high 32 points to lead Caja Laboral. Teletovic set a Euroleague record with 7 threes in the first half, but waited until there was a minute left in overtime to tie the record with a clutch shot that put his team up 5. Teletovic has long established himself as one of the top three-point shooters in the game. He led the Euroleague last season with 58 triples and he has now made more threes this season than any other player with 24. He tied Saulius Stombergas, who made 9 triples in as many attempts in an April 2001 playoff game for Caja Laboral – then Tau Ceramica – and Thomas Kelati, who two seasons ago sank 9 for Unicaja, but needed 19 shots to do so.
