Marcus Haislip - Caja LaboralOn the eve of the Top 16, Caja Laboral and center Marcus Haislip have reached an agreement to part ways, the club announced on Wednesday. Haislip (207, 30) had joined the club with a one-year contract in September, but struggled with injury and appeared in only five games of the Turkish Airlines Euroleague Regular Season, averaging 4.6 points and 1.2 rebounds in 10 minutes per game. The announcement came the morning after Caja Laboral signed another big man, Esteban Batista. Caja Laboral was Haislip's fifth Euroleague team since 2005. He started with Ulker and Efes Pilsen in Turkey, moved to Unicaja in Spain and played six games last season for Panathinaikos of Athens. In his most productive season, Haislip averaged 14.1 points and 6.7 rebounds with Efes in 2006-07. Wednesday's announcement followed another a week ago in which Caja Laboral said it had opened a disciplinary procedure against Haislip for missing rehabilitation appointments and travelling to the United States without club permission.
