David Vanterpool, CSKA Moscow CSKA Moscow swingman David Vanterpool could miss the entire Top 16 due to a back injury. Vanterpool, who helped CSKA to win the Euroleague title last year, had already missed two games late in the regular season with the injury. Although he returned for the regular season finale against Fenerbahce Ulker, the problem did not go away and CSKA's medical team has recommended that he undergo therapy. Vanterpool is not expected to take part in this year's Top 16, but he could be back if CSKA reaches the Quarterfinal Playoffs. Vanterpool has averaged 7.2 points on 88.6% free-throw shooting, 3.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.6 steals in 12 Euroleague games so far this season. “Right now Vanterpool in undergoing therapy,” CSKA head coach Ettore Messina said. “We will only able to make any kind of prediction in several weeks' time. We should not expect him to be back on court soon.”
