Dynamo adds Dean to backcourt
Just in time for the Top 16, Dynamo Moscow has signed shooting guard Taquan Dean as the replacement for injured star Travis Hansen, who is out long-term with a foot injury. Dean (191, 23) joins Dynamo in time for the team's road game on Thursday at Aris TT Bank, in Thessaloniki, Greece. Dean had been playing this season with Biella of Italy, where in 18 games he averaged 12.1 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 29.6 minutes per game. Previously, Dean had played at Louisville University as a four-year starter under coach Rick Pitino. "This is the opportunity of a lifetime," Dean said at a press conference in Moscow after signing with Dynamo. "I'm very happy to be in Dynamo. It's the great club. I like the team and the basketball style of Dusan Ivkovic. So I'm ready to work a lot and to help my team." Dean and Dynamo signed a contract until the end of the current season.
