Lottomatica guard Vitali hospitalized
Luca Vitali - Virtus Roma_28868Lottomatica Roma announced Monday that guard Luca Vitali has been hospitalized for treatment as he suffers from pneumonia. The player, who has been transferred to Sant Orsola Hospital near Bologna to be closer to his family. He has undergone blood tests and is being treated with antibiotics. Vitali is expected to miss at least 20 days as he recovers, leaving him on the sidelines for a minimum of two more Turkish Airlines Euroleague games. The 24-year-old Vitali, who is in his fifth Euroleague season, averaged 6 points and 1.6 assists over 19 minutes in 10 Euroleague games as a reserve this season.
