Zalgiris fortifies frontline with Plaisted

Trent Plaisted signs for ZalgirisZalgiris Kaunas added size and strength to its frontline with the signing of center Trent Plaisted for the remainder of the season. Plaisted (211, 24) arrives from Eurocup side Cedevita Zagreb, with whom he averaged 9.1 points and 3.9 rebounds over 19 minutes in seven games in that competition this season. He also posted 5.2 points and 3.7 rebounds over 15 minutes in 15 Adriatic League games. It was his second Eurocup season after posting 8.7 points, 6.2 rebounds and 1.5 blocks for Zadar last season. Plaisted played college basketball at Brigham Young University and started the 2008-09 season with Biella in Italy, but had that stint cut short due to injury. Zalgiris will be his first Euroleague team.
