Reds' Bourousis out a month
Ioannis Bourousis - Olympiacos_30922Olympiacos Piraeus has announced on its official website that center Ioannis Bourousis will be sidelined for one month, thus missing the rest of the Top 16. Bourousis (211, 25), a former All-Euroleague player, apparently has a broken finger on his right hand. The Olympiacos statement says that head coach Dusan Ivkovic decided that Bourousis should train alone during a one-month period. Olympiacos is still a victory away from qualifying for the Quarterfinal Playoffs, which would start in about a month. Bourousis is currently the Turkish Airlines Euroleague's top contributor on a per-minute basis over the course of the current season according to performance index ranking. He is averaging 11.1 points and team bests of 6.5 rebounds and 1.3 blocks in just 17.3 minutes per game. In a key victory at Power Electronics Valencia last week, Bourousis had 10 of his team's first 16 points and played sparingly afterwards.
