The vast influence of Euroleague Basketball players at EuroBasket 2017 will be evident throughout their battle for national supremacy into mid-September. With more than 110 current players dispersed among 20 of the 24 national teams, the footprint of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague and 7DAYS EuroCup could not be wider. Those players come from a total of 35 clubs out of the 16 in the EuroLeague and 24 in the EuroCup, but as much as quantity, they assure quality at EuroBasket, too. There are 27 former EuroLeague champions and 14 former EuroCup champions playing at EuroBasket, as well as 21 players who were All-EuroLeague or All-EuroCup selections – or both – in the past. EuroLeague clubs like CSKA Moscow and Fenerbahce Dogus Istanbul supply more players individually to EuroBasket than any others in the world, while others like Baskonia Vitoria Gasteiz and Unicaja Malaga are represented on four different national teams - none of which is their own, Spain. It all makes for a great pageant of basketball where fans can enjoy their favorite stars as they look ahead to the start of the EuroLeague and EuroCup in October!
