One day after its top scorer signed elsewhere, Cholet Basket found a go-to perimeter guy in Robert Hite, who penned a one-year deal with the French League runner up. Hite (1.88 meters, 27 years old) finished that season with Limoges of the French League, where he averaged 16.2 points and 4 rebounds in 13 games. He started the year with Hapoel Holon in Israel, where he was worth 15.9 points and 5.1 boards in 16 appearances. He steps into the shoes of Sammy Mejia, who moved to CSKA Moscow. Hite has experience in European competitions. He played briefly for Tau Cermaica in the 2008-09 Euroleague. The season before Hite led Galatasaray Café Crown to the Eurocup semifinals with 16 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game. Hite played college basketball at the University of Miami and afterward played for Miami in the NBA. Since coming to Europe, he has suited up for Galatasaray in Turkey, Tau in Spain, Ostende in Belgium, Montegranaro and Pepsi Caserta in Italy, Holon in Israel and Limoges in France.
