Khimki adds point man Khvostov
Dimitriy Khvostov (Photo: Dynamo Moscow)One of the most experienced young point guards in the world is changing uniforms for the first time as Khimki Moscow Region on Thursday announced that Dimitriy Khvostov will join the club for the next two years. Khvostov (1.90 meters, 21 years old) arrives from Dynamo Moscow, where he has spent all of a precocious career until now. Two months after his 16th birthday, Khvostov debuted in the Euroleague with 11 points and 3 steals off the bench as Dynamo defeated Cologne of Germany in their 2006-07 season opener. The next three seasons, he played in the Eurocup with Dynamo, the last as a full-time starter averaging 5.8 points and 2.7 assists. Last season, his fifth with Dynamo, he averaged 8.4 points in 21 Russian League games and ranked fifth in assists with 4.1 per game.
