Cibona signs big man Suton
Cibona Zagreb signed promising big man Goran Suton to bolster the club as it aims to return to the Turkish Airlines Euroleague via the Qualifying Rounds. Suton (2.08 meters, 25 years old) split last season between Spartak St. Petersburg in Russia and Angelico Biella in Italy. He averaged 9 points and 7.4 rebounds over 25 Italian League games for Biella. Born in Sarajevo, Bosnia, Suton immigrated with his family to the United States before he started high school. He played college basketball for Michigan State University, whom he helped reach the NCAA Tournament title game in 2010. He finished that season with a conference best 8.4 rebounds per game and was second on his team with 10.4 points per game. Suton was named the Most Outstanding Player of NCAA Tournament Midwest Regional and to Final Four All-Tournament Team.
