Damjan Rudez - Cedevita (Photo: KK Cedevita)Cibona continued its preparation for the Turkish Airlines Euroleague Qualifying Rounds by signing swingmen Damjan Rudez and Hrvoje Kovacevic from Croatian League rival Cedevita Zagreb. Rudez (2.03 meters, 25 years old) was one of the stars of Cedevita's charge to the Eurocup Finals last season, during which he averaged 13.2 points over 16 games. Rudez was the hero of two Last 16 wins over Gran Canaria when he combined to make 12 of 20 three-pointers and earned Eurocup weekly MVP honors after each game. He will try to help Cibona to the Euroleague, a level he last played at during the 2008-09 season with Union Olimpia. Rudez began his career with KK Split in his native Croatia and has also played for BC Oostende in Belgium. He is also a member of the Croatian national team, for whom he played at the 2008 Olympic Games.

Kovacevic (1.91 meters, 25 years old) averaged 3 points over six Eurocup games in limited action for Cedevita last season. It was his third season with the club. Kovacevic grew up with Olimpija Osijek and also played for Svjetlost Slavonski Brod and KK Zagreb before joining Cedevita in 2008.
