Cibona inks Marcinkovic
Pavle Marcinkovic joins Cibona (Photo: Adriatic Basket)Cibona improved its frontcourt for the upcoming Turkish Airlines Euroleague Qualifying Round by inking swingman Pavle Marcinkovic to a three-year deal on Monday. Marcinkovic (1.97 meters, 22 years old) arrives from Zadar, his only club until this moment. He averaged 6 points and 3.4 rebounds in 25 Adriatic League games last season. He did better in the Croatian League, averaging 9.2 points, 4.6 rebounds and 2.3 steals in 16 games. Marcinkovic helped Zadar to win the Croatian League title in 2008 and reach the finals in 2009 and 2010. He has also been a member of the Croatian under-18 and under-20 national teams. Marcinkovic will try to make his Euroleague debut this season by helping his team to survive the Qualifying Rounds in Vilnius, Lithuania.
