Alba Berlin extends Taylor

Taylor (1.93 meters, 24 years old) averaged 7.3 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 11 Eurocup games with Alba last season. He shined in the 2009-10 Eurocup, averaging 18.5 points in 6 regular season games with Telekom Baskets Bonn. He previously played for Premiata Montegranaro, where he averaged 13 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.6 steals in 30 Italian League games in 2008-09. It was Taylor's first year as a professional basketball player following a four-year career at the University of Oregon. Taylor helped Oregon reach the NCAA Tournament quarterfinals and win the Pacific-10 Conference Tournament in 2007. Taylor was a member of the United States national team that took part in the 2007 Pan-American Games played in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. In the same announcement, Alba said that guard Julius Jenkins will not return to the team next season after five years in Berlin. "I am very happy to have the opportunity to carry on playing for Alba. In just one year, Berlin has become like a second home for me," Taylor said.
