VEF Riga signs Millage
VEF Riga kept improving its backcourt for the upcoming Turkish Airlines Euroleague Qualifying Rounds by inking guard Curtis Millage to a one-year deal, the club announced Wednesday. Millage (1.85 meters, 30 years old) arrives from Khimik-OPZ Yuzny, where he averaged 14.9 points, 3.1 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 2.4 steals in 48 Ukrainian League games last season. He also led the 2010-11 EuroChallenge in assists (5.9 apg.) and steals (2.9 spg.). Millage has also played for Hyeres-Toulon Var Basket in France, Union Olimpija in Slovenia, Enisey Krasnoyarsk in Russia, ASK Riga in Latvia, Split in Croatia, Zhejiang Wanma Cyclones in China, Fayetteville in the NBA Development League, Utah in the ABA and Wurzburg in Germany. He helped ASK to win the Latvian League title in 2007 and reach the finals in 2008.
