CEZ Nymburk lands Wilson
Lamayne Wilson - Budivelnik (photo bcbudivelnik)A basketball globetrotter now has the chance to return to the Turkish Airlines Euroleague next season, as CEZ Basketball Nymburk announced the arrival of power forward Lamayne Wilson, who will play for the Czech powerhouse next season. Wilson (2.03 meters, 31 years old) arrives from Budivelnik, where he averaged 11.1 points and 5.5 rebounds in 14 Eurocup games last season. He helped Budivelnik to win the Ukrainian League title and reach the Eurocup Quarterfinals. Wilson has also played for Turk Telekom in Turkey, Sluc Nancy, Asvel Basket and Cholet Basket in France, Pallacanestro Cantu in Italy, EnBW Ludwigsburg in Germany, Yunnan Honghe in China, Florence, Cedar Rapids and Brevard in the USBL, Santa Lucia Realty in the Philippines, Avtodor Saratov in Russia and Skonto Riga in Latvia. He helped Asvel to win the French Cup title in 2008. "Wilson is an experienced player who proved his value in Europe for many years," Nymburk head coach Ronen Ginzburg said. "We know exactly which kind of player we are getting - athletic and good shooter."
