Banvit adds Bajramovic, re-signs Williams
Turkish Airlines Euroleague hopeful BK Banvit re-created its frontcourt for the new season by signing veteran power forward Kenan Bajramovic and re-signing center Lance Williams. Bajramovic (2.07 meters, 30 years old), who has spent the past season-and-a-half with Lietuvos Rytas, has past experience in Turkey with Turk Telekom in the 2008-09 season. Last season he averaged 11.4 points and 5.2 rebounds in 14 Turkish Airlines Euroleague games and 12.8 points and 4.1 rebounds in the Lithuanian League. He has also played for Bosna Sarajevo and Celik Zenica in his native Bosnia and Herzegovina, Azovmash Mariopul and BC Kyiv in Ukraine and Alba Berlin in Germany. Among his career highlight are winning the 2010 Lithuanian League and Cup double with Rytas and a pair of Ukrainian League titles in 2006 and 2007 and reaching the FIBA EuroCup final in 2007 with Azovmash. He also won the Bosnia and Herzegovina Cup and League titles with Bosna in 2005.
Williams (2.06 meters, 31 years old) begins his fourth season with the club after signing an extension. He averaged 9.4 points and 3.8 rebounds in the Eurocup and 10.8 points and 4.3 rebounds in the Turkish League last season. Williams has also played for AEL Larissa in Greece, PGE Turow in Poland, Bosna Sarajevo in Bosnia & Herzegovina, Shougang Beijing Ducks in China, Al Ittihad in Saudi Arabia and ITU Istanbul in Turkey.
